List the audio tracks
QuickTime files can carry more than one audio track. The panel shows language, channel count and sample rate for each, so a second track is not silently ignored.
Browser tool · nothing uploaded
Drop a QuickTime or iPhone MOV. The video track is discarded, the audio track you choose is decoded and re-encoded as MP3, and the file never leaves this tab.
Optional. Use mm:ss or h:mm:ss. Batch conversion uses the full file.
The MP3 was written in this tab. The recording was not uploaded.
movtomp3.co converts QuickTime MOV video to MP3 audio in the browser; the file is never uploaded.
The MOV container is read from your disk, the video track is dropped without being decoded, and the audio track is decoded and re-encoded as MP3. The output is written in this tab and offered as a download. There is no upload endpoint, no account and no queue.
If you need the reverse direction, or a different source format, this page is deliberately single-purpose. The how-it-works page explains the engine, the browser requirements and the cases where the converter will refuse a file rather than write a broken one.

ProRes, HEVC or H.264 video is discarded without being decoded. A 4 GB camera file and a 40 MB phone clip take the same audio path.
LAME WASM encodes the selected track in a worker. The output is a local file; no request carries the recording.
